This year we are celebrating our 60^th year of delivering high quality ski lessons in Rauris.

Over the last 60 years we have never stopped aiming to improve. Through education, training and passing on the ‘tricks of the trade’ to the next generations of instructors we have become better and better!

Quality was and always had been our most important principle – whether skiing, snowboarding, freeriding or telemarking; we offer optimal support and guarantee endless fun in the snow.

Of course, a reliable method of teaching is important to us but we still have fun and a great sense of community in our ski school. The combination of highly trained ski and snowboard instructors who have many years of teaching experience make our lessons something special.

We have built our team of highly trained ski and snowboard instructors from near and far to cover as many languages and performance levels as possible. We are very passionate about training and educating our instructors further in the most modern teaching methods to ensure the greatest possible learning experience for all of our guests – young and old.

In 1959, Baldi Maier founded the original ski school. Then later in 1992 his brother, Karl Maier, also founded his own ski school. In 1998 the two ski schools were merged together and Karl took over running the business. In recent years the youngest generation of the family have taken over and from 2014 the ski school has been run by Karl’s daughter, Petra Maier and her partner Mario Ratz. 

Our experienced team and supportive family would love to share our fascination with winter sports and the beautiful scenery in Rauris with all of our guests.
